A confident AI review can create more work

A missing screen is not evidence of a missing cancellation button.

Illustrative design review on a tablet. The payment error screen says Payment failed, but has no retry or navigation action. Annotations call the layout aligned and consistent, then ask what the user can do next. Fictional example, not a shipped product or automation result.

You send AI your file-upload designs for review and forget to include the screen shown while the file is uploading. It reports: ‘There’s no way to cancel the upload.’ The cancel button is there; the AI just hasn’t seen it. Now the designer is spending time investigating a problem that doesn’t exist. Automated reviews need to distinguish ‘this is missing from the interface’ from ‘I haven’t been shown this’. If information is missing, ask for the missing screen.
